Use your knowledge of Geometry to help the famous mathematician Euclid in an incredible adventure among the pyramids.
The Netmath missions are problem-solving activities that stand out from the rest of the content offered on the platform. More complex, these activities immerse the students in an exciting adventure connected with the history of mathematics. Their mission? Restore all the math knowledge to help Alfred save the great city of Mathlantis threatened by Dr. Chaos.
This third mission teleports the students back to Egypt in 300 BC. After a long walk towards the pyramids, they find Euclid, one of the greatest mathematicians of all time, completely in tears and lying on the ground. Dr. Chaos stole the Elements, a series of 13 books written by Euclid. The first of these books covers the fundamentals of geometry. Dr. Chaos sealed it in an empty sarcophagus somewhere in the deepest basement of the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
To complete the mission and help Euclid find this first book, the students have to use their skills in geometry. The future of mankind’s mathematical knowledge is at stake!
The missions are accessible for the 6th year of primary school through to the 3rd year of secondary school. However, they are not all available to students from the outset. Instead, students must unlock them by completing a set number of activities with a grade of 100%. LEARN MORE
